Leadership Development
Program Overview
The Leadership Development Program is an initiative by The I Can Scholarship Foundation Inc. designed to empower at-risk youth and court-involved youth, and other youth needing direction and leadership in Richmond County, North Carolina. Through interactive workshops, mentorship, and hands-on community projects.
TOPUCU / (The Only Person U Cheat Is U)
Using the TOPUCU framework, the program equips participants with the skills, mindset, and confidence needed to become effective leaders in their schools, communities, and personal lives. Youth develop critical leadership skills, including:
- Communication and public speaking
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Ethical decision-making and personal responsibility
Life Skills Development
- Workshops on goal setting, career exploration, and personal growth
- Support navigating the challenges faced by at-risk and court-involved youth
- Prepare participants for future educational and career success
